Christ Church Presbyterian

Logo design for a church plant who inherited a historic church building and wanted to incorporate the building into their new brand identity

Project overview

Christ Church Presbyterian approached me with a need for logos to use for their new church plant in a historic building in Barry, Wales. Their goal was for the logo to reflect their traditional values, while incorporating more modern elements.

Project approach

Knowing that the young church wanted their logo to be a celebration of the beautiful old building that they inherited, I decided to do a lineal drawing of the building to use as the centerpiece of the logo. I wanted the color palette to exude traditionalism, while still appealing to a younger generation. Ultimately, I created a few different versions of the logo, with greater or lesser detail to use in different formats. The client was very helpful and had a good eye throughout the design process.
